Avondale Borough Clean Up

Saturday, May 22, 2021

From: Mayor, Steve Cummings

The Borough Council and the Mayor is sponsoring a Borough clean up on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  We are asking for volunteers to help with the clean-up.  Please meet at the Borough Building at 8:00 am for assignments and equipment gloves vests and trash bags.  Water will be provided.  We hope to finish by 2:00 p.m.  

We also encourage residents to clean up around your home.  We will have two 30-yard trash containers located at the Borough Hall that are manned by an attendant so that residents can bring their items for free disposal.  These containers are provided for the Avondale Borough residents ONLY.

We cannot accept:

  • Tires (car or truck Tractors)       
  • Refrigerators, Air Conditioners (anything with Freon)
  • Electronics  TV’s, computers, etc.                           
  • Household  hazardous waste – Paints,  Chemicals, insecticides etc.

NOTICE OF AVONDALE BOROUGH WORK SESSIONS / COUNCIL MEETINGS

MAY WORK SESSION AND COUNCIL MEETING

Due to the Primary Election, the May work session and Council meeting will be combined.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 @ 6:00 pm, to discuss items on the agenda and any other business that may come before the Board. The meeting will be held in person only at the Avondale Borough Meeting Room located at 110 Pomeroy Avenue. 

Face coverings and social distancing will be used at all meetings.  If anyone does not feel comfortable attending the meeting, they are welcome to submit any comments to the Borough Secretary by 12:00 p.m. the day of the meeting.  Please send your written comments to:  secretary_avondale-boro@comcast.net or drop off at the Borough Office.

If you are a person who wishes to observe or participate in the meeting and has a disability and/or requires an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation, please contact the Borough Secretary at 610-268-8501 prior to any meeting to discuss how your needs may be best accommodated.
