RECYCLING RULES IN THE BOROUGH
Do you know the rules for recycling? Here are some important ones to keep in mind. It’s worth noting that the Borough benefits from a rebate for the clean recyclables we send in, which helps offset our trash payments. Your efforts in recycling help lower trash pick-up costs, so please follow these guidelines:
- DO NOT use plastic bags, including those labeled as “recycling trash bags” in your recycling containers. Instead, empty their contents directly into the recycling bin.
- Rinse and dry items before placing them in the recycling bin.
- Do not include oil containers, hazardous waste, or food in the recycling bin.
