Companies ARE NOT ALLOWED to solicit in the Borough without first securing a permit from the Borough Office. There are no exceptions to this rule. If a door-to-door sales person comes to your door, and you answer it, please ask for their Avondale Borough Solicitation permit. If the person cannot produce an Avondale Borough Solicitation permit and will not leave the area, then residents should contact the Southern Chester County Regional Police at 610-268-2907. If residents feel threatened at all, do not hesitate to call 911.

Soliciting is allowed in the Borough per Chapter 313 of the Borough Code as follows: Monday through Friday 8 AM – 8 PM, Saturday 9 AM – 5 PM and solicitation is not allowed on Sundays. Violators will be fined.
