The Borough received a grant to map the water, sewer, and stormwater systems along with the fire hydrants and manholes. Carroll Engineering will be the engineering firm doing this work. You may notice representatives from Carroll walking up and down the streets in the Borough. They may have to enter your property. They are looking for curb stops (pictured below). Curb stops are where the Borough’s water distribution connection meets the property water connection. To locate the curb stops they will be using measuring tools, metal detectors and sometimes they may have to do some digging.
